our travel suggestions below

Option 1 – Two Day Trip (Recommended)
- Stay in the Sacred Valley the night before your train, you’ll acclimatize better and be only 30 minutes from the train station, instead of 2½ hours from Cusco.
-  Take a morning train (10:00 or 11:00 a.m.) from Ollantaytambo and arrive in Aguas Calientes around 1:00 p.m.
-  Buy your Machu Picchu entrance ticket for 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. — the afternoon is calmer, less crowded, and perfect for photos.
-  On the next day, enter again early (6–8 a.m.) for sunrise views, then take the train back around 1:00–3:00 p.m.
You can go back to Cusco or stay another night in the Sacred Valley.
✅ This option gives you more time, fewer crowds, and a smoother experience.

Option 2 – One Day Trip
If you prefer a quicker visit:
- Take an early train (around 7:00 a.m.) from Ollantaytambo.
- Buy your Machu Picchu ticket for 10:00 a.m.
- Visit for a few hours and return by train around 3:00 p.m.
✅ Good for short schedules, but mornings are more crowded.
